FireFox - Bulk Upload And/Or Silverlight Upload Not Working

Symptoms:

When you use FireFox (version 52.0 or later) and attempt to upload files using Silverlight, you see a blank box where the Silverlight plugin should load.

OR

When you use FireFox (version 52.0 or later) and attempt to upload files using Bulk Upload and FireFox informs you that you should enable the applets.

Cause:

This issue occurs because these versions of FireFox block Netscape Plugin API (NPAPI) plugins from being displayed in the browser. Silverlight and Bulk Upload are NPAPI plugins.

Solution:

If you need to use either Bulk Upload or Silverlight, you will need to use the latest version of Internet Explorer or Safari browsers.
