Configuring OKTA SSO

Overview

FilesAnywhere supports OKTA SSO integration for various identity providers. For SSO integration with FilesAnywhere and OKTA, the Administrator needs to configure the FilesAnywhere application as a Trusted application as per the following steps.  

Also you will need to request FilesAnywhere to enable the single sign-on functionality.

 

Things to note:

  • Replace any instance below of 6435 with your Client ID, I.E. 1324

 

 

OKTA Setup

  1. Login to Okta Admin Dashboard:
  2. Click on Add App under Use single sign on

     
  3. On application Catalog-> Create New App

     
  4. Choose SAML2.0 and click Next

     
  5. Upload Logo and click Next

     
  6. Update the Single sign-on URL of your FilesAnywhere account and leave rest parameter as below:

     
  7. Configure below Claim attributes and update your FilesAnywhere ClientID:

     
  8. Click Next and Finish
  9. Download Token Signing Certificate and provide to FilesAnywhere team:

     
  10. Navigate to General and collect IDP url:

     
  11. In this step you will need to request FilesAnywhere to turn on Single Sign-on for your account and click here to submit it: 
    1. Information collected in above steps:
      1. Initiate Single Sign On (SSO) URL
      2. Download Certificate
         
  12. Once FilesAnywhere Team updates Identity into system, then Assign Users to App:

     
  13. Choose SSO App and Users from Grid and Click Next.
  14. After review click Confirm Assignments:
