May I Share My FilesAnywhere Account Login with Other Users?

The short answer is no. The long answer is this: the FilesAnywhere Terms of Use expressly forbid sharing of account logins, and the FilesAnywhere license allows only one registered user per login. Users violating this rule are subject to a permanent ban. In addition, sharing your login information with another person could present problems, including unintended deletions and security risks.

Glad we have that out of the way! At FilesAnywhere, our goal is to provide a service that meets our customers' needs, including the ability to access, collaborate, edit, backup, share, and sync. We provide you the ability to distribute files safely and efficiently without sharing your sensitive login information. 

Adding Sub-Accounts to Your FilesAnywhere Plan

Every paid FilesAnywhere plan has the ability to add additional users with their own dedicated login. The primary account has complete administrative control over sub-user access and billing is consolidated as well. If you only need to share files on a limited basis, consider using a FileShare link or the FileReceive feature. These options allow you to share the data you want with friends, family, and colleagues, even if they don't have a FilesAnywhere account.

Private Sites for Businesses

For larger organizations, the FilesAnywhere Private Site plan provides discounts on multi-user licensing, extensive corporate branding, use of an existing Internet domain, and an array of additional features designed for professional collaboration. Transferring an Individual FilesAnywhere License

Individual accounts may not transfer their license, even temporarily. Instead of transfering, you will simply need to close your current account and start a new one. Since there  are no long-term contracts, you are under no obligation and can cancel your service any time. However, it's important to keep in mind you are billed in advance for services, cancellations take effect with 24 hours, and FilesAnywhere does not offer refunds for the unused portion of your service if you cancel during the billing period. We suggest that you close your account at the end of the current period.

Transferring a Private Site FilesAnywhere License

We understand that businesses need flexibility, and we do allow the transfer of your Private Site license to another user. In order to transfer a Private site license, it must be transferred in it's entirety to a person currently employed by the company and may not be transferred back to you.
