Step-by-Step Instructions: Downloading Files and Folders

There are many different ways you can download files and folders from your FilesAnywhere account.

Downloading with Inline Buttons

Move your mouse over the file or folder that you wish to download and click the 'Download' arrow.  This will download the file or folder to your computer.

Downloading with the Menu at the Top

Click on the checkbox next to the item you want to download

Then at the top of the screen, click on the Download button

Downloading with Action Menu

Right click on the file or folder and select Download from the action menu.

Downloading from the Left Hand Navigation Panel

Right click on the folder that you wish to download and select Download.

Important Information About Downloading Files and Folders

• The time needed to finish the transfer is completely dependent on your bandwidth to the Internet and the level of server activity. If you are using a modem, please be extremely patient since file transfers can take a long time over slow connections.  
• Microsoft Zip Extractor does not support long file paths.  If your folder paths exceed 260 characters, you can use a third party app like 7-Zip which does support long file path, or will have to reduce the folder path names accordingly prior to downloading folders.
• Folder downloads (zipped downloads) are limited to 25 GB. You may use an FTPS or SFTP client to download folders larger than 25 GB.
