New Look: Faxing

Need to send a fax, but don't have a fax machine? No problem! Every paid FilesAnywhere account can send outbound faxes. It's simple, efficient, secure, and free!

Note: A fax number is not needed to send a fax.  However, if you would like to receive a fax number for inbound faxing, (How to set up inbound faxing)

Note: You can only send 25 pages at a time, this includes the cover page.  If a fax is over 25 pages, you will receive an error stating this in your email notification.

How to Send a Fax

1. Log into your FilesAnywhere account

2. Locate the file/files that you would like to fax.

3. With the file selected right-click and navigate to More

4. Mouse over Service Plugins

5. Select Send Fax

6.  Verify that the file is correct and add any additional files.

7. Select Recipient Tab 

8. Enter the Recipient's Name and Fax number. (Name and Fax number are Required.)

9. Select the Sender tab. 

10. Enter Your Name. You may enter additional information (Only your name is required.)

11. Select Send fax.

12. You will see a confirmation that your fax has been sent.  (Click here for instructions on Viewing Sent Faxes and/or Fax status.)

  • Business Starter and Professional plans are allowed up to 500 outbound domestic faxes, or 100 outbound international faxes per month
  • Faxes must be no more than 25 pages at a time, this includes the cover page.  If you exceed that amount, the fax will be denied and you will receive an error in the log and an email notification citing this.

 

 

Fax Settings

1. Files: This is where you can add and remove the files that you wish to fax

2. Recipient:  Here is where you will add the information of where the fax is being sent. 

3. Sender:  This is your information, including your fax number and contact details.

4. Cover Page: The first page of the fax that explains the document's contents or any additional information for the recipient.

5. Add Files:  Allows you to add additional files to the fax (not to exceed 25 pages)

6. Name:  Shows the name of the file or files that are being faxed.

7. Path: Where the file or files are located within your FilesAnywhere account.

8. Remove Selected: Allows you to remove files from the fax.

9. Clear All: Will clear all files from the fax.

10. View Sent Faxes: This allows you to see previously sent faxes and the status of your faxes.

11. Send Fax: Will send your fax.

Recipient

1. Files: This is where you can add and remove the files that you wish to fax

2. Recipient:  Here is where you will add the information of where the fax is being sent. 

3. Sender:  This is your information, including your fax number and contact details.

4. Cover Page: The first page of the fax that explains the document's contents or any additional information for the recipient.

5. View Dialing Code

6. Information:  These fields contain additional information for your fax such as.

  • Name
  • Fax Number
  • Alternate Fax Number
  • Email address
  • Company Name
  • Voicemail 

7. Save as Default Recipient: Saves the current recipient, and will auto-populate the recipient for future faxes.

8. Save Sent Fax: If Checked will save outgoing faxes

10. View Sent Faxes: This allows you to see previously sent faxes and the status of your faxes.

11. Send Fax: Will send your fax.

Sender

  • Fax Number
  • Email address
  • Company Name

6. Save as Default Sender: Saves your information for future faxes.

10. View Sent Faxes: This allows you to see previously sent faxes and the status of your faxes.

11. Send Fax: Will send your fax.

Cover Page

1. Files: This is where you can add and remove the files that you wish to fax

2. Recipient:  Here is where you will add the information of where the fax is being sent. 

3. Sender:  This is your information, including your fax number and contact details.

4. Cover Page: The first page of the fax that explains the document's contents or any additional information for the recipient.

5. Display Page Title: Create a page title for your Cover Page

6. Message: Any additional information you need to let the recipient know.

7. Fax Code: Enter additional information such as P.O Number, Department number,  Invoice, etc. (Not a required Field.)

8. Type: Allows you to mark a fax as Confidential, Personal, Urgent, FYI, Your Copy

9. Save as Default Cover Page: Saves the Cover Page for any additional faxes.

10. View Sent Faxes: This allows you to see previously sent faxes and the status of your faxes.

11. Send Fax: Will send your fax.
