New Look: Default FileReceive Settings

Just set it and Forget it.  FilesAnywhere allows you to customize how you receive data and how FileReceive Links appear to the recipient and save those customizations so they show up on future FileReceive Links.

How to Access FileReceive Defaults

1. Log into your FilesAnywhere account.

2. Click the Hamburger Menu 

3. Hover over Manage

4. Select FileReceive Links

General Settings

General

1. Upload

  • Allow Uploads to overwrite files with the same name-If a file with the same name as an existing file is uploaded, the more recent upload will overwrite the older file.
  • Allow users to upload entire folders- Allows users to upload folders along with files.
  • Create a subfolder for each FileReceive- which prompts the recipient with a name. A subfolder with this name will be created for the new file uploads.
  • Sub Folder Field- which prompts the recipient with a name. A subfolder with this name will be created for the new file uploads.

2. Security

  • Link Expiration-Allows you to limit the time frame when a recipient can upload files and folders.

3. Do Not Display

  • My Name-  Allows you to keep your name from appearing on your FileReceive Link.
  • My Email Address- Allows you to keep your email from showing up on your FileReceive Link.

4. Tracking

  • Email when files are uploaded- When a file is uploaded via the FileReceive Link, an email will be sent to the sender of the link.
  • Email me when the Link is accessed for the first time- Will email the owner of the Link when a recipient accesses the link for the first time.
  • Record Link activity in the History Log- This will allow for any activity that is performed with the FileReceive Link to be tracked and recorded in the History Log.

5. Additional Tracking Recipients-This option allows you to set notifications so that other users receive an email when information is uploaded.

Advanced

 

 

1. Save recipient(s) to Contact List- This allows you to manually enter an email address and then save it to your contact list for future correspondence.

2. Personalize Email- Allows you to enter a personalized email to the recipient

3. Update Settings- Saves any changes made.
