Lite - Setting Email Notifications on Folders

 

FilesAnywhere allows you to set up email notifications for whatever folder you choose.  These automatic notifications make tracking incoming data and updates that much easier.

Note: This newest interface is only available for Professional and Enterprise accounts. 

Note: Folder Email Notifications are not the same as, nor linked to the Activity Log at the top of the screen.

 

  1. Go to the Login URL, https://lite.filesanywhere.com/ and sign in.
  2. Locate the folder you wish to enabled email notifications on.
  3. Select the Notification icon (bell icon) to the right of the folder.

  4. A panel will open up on the right side of the screen that will display the Notifications options.
  5. From there you can select the email notifications you want to receive on that folder.

    • File Upload: Enables a real-time email notification for every file upload.  This feature is not recommended for large directories with high volume file activity since an email is generated with every file action. 
    • Folder Create: Enables the folder owner and additional recipients to receive a notification when a new folder is created within this directory.
    • File/Folder Comment: Enables the folder owner and additional recipients to receive a notification when a comment is generated for the folder or the contents within the folder. 
    • File/Folder Copy / Move: Enables the folder owner and additional recipients to receive a notification when the file/folder is being copied/moved. 
    • File/Folder Delete: Enables the folder owner and additional recipients to receive a notification when the file/folder is being renamed. 
    • File/Folder Rename: Enables the folder owner and additional recipients to receive a notification when the file/folder is being renamed. 
  6. You can also add additional recipients to these notifications by typing their email in the field or you can click on the search button on the right to pull up a list of associated contacts.

  7. Once you have entered the additional recipients press enter/return/Go to add them to the email list below.  Any emails added will be displayed as shown below.

  8. Once you've made all the changes necessary, press the Apply button to save your changes.
