How to Use FAi Extract to Autofill eForms

FAi Extract analyzes uploaded or linked files and provides AI-suggested values to help autofill your eForm submissions.  

FAi Extract can be used by guests when completing an eForm or by account users when editing an existing submission.

Note: FAi Extract is available to Professional accounts with AI Integration enabled and file access granted.

How to enable FAi Extract on an eForm

You can do this for a new eForm or an existing one

New eForm

  1. Log in to your Professional account
  2. Go to your eForm Dashboard by clicking on More Options
  3. Navigate to eForms and then Dashboard
  4. Once in your Dashboard, click on Create
  5. After selecting your starting point, you will be taken to the setup page
  6. Here you can check the checkbox to Enable FAi Autofill
  7. The FAi Auto Fill Mode will dictate who can use FAi Extract: Users only, Guests only, or Both

Existing eForm

  1. Log in to your Professional account
  2. Go to your eForm Dashboard by clicking on More Options
  3. Navigate to eForms and then Dashboard
  4. Once in the Dashboard, look for the eForm that you want to enable FAi Extract
  5. Click on the Edit button on the far right
  6. Once in the Builder, mouse over your eForm name and click on the edit icon on the right
  7. Here you can check the checkbox to Enable FAi Autofill
  8. The FAi Auto Fill Mode will dictate who can use FAi Extract: Users only, Guests only, or Both
  9. Save your changes by clicking on the checkmark in the top right

How to use FAi Extract as a Guest

  1. Open the link to the eForm you have been given
  2. Locate the Upload field and Add Files
  3. If FAi Extract is enabled, click on the FAi Extract icon on the right
  4. A loading indicator will appear while FAi Extract is processing the file
  5. Once the extract is complete, the system will display the Suggested Values
  6. From there, you can Accept All, Deny All, or individually accept or deny each suggestion
  7. An accepted value will auto-fill and mark the field with a green AI indicator

    Review each suggested value before accepting it. AI-generated suggestions may not always be accurate.

  8. Denied suggestions will revert to the previous state

    Deny All rejects all suggestions and leaves the existing field values unchanged.

  9. You can also view the extracted metadata by clicking on the Extract FAi File Metadata icon
  10. This will open a window displaying extracted metadata that you can use to manually fill in additional fields.
  11. Once complete, click the Submit button to finalize your submission

How to use FAi Extract as a User

  1. Log in to your Professional account
  2. Go to your eForm Dashboard by clicking on More Options
  3. Navigate to eForms and then Dashboard
  4. Once in the Dashboard, look for the eForm that you want to enable FAi Extract
  5. Click on the View Data button on the far right
  6. Edit an existing submission by clicking on the edit button on the left
  7. When the submission pulls up, on the right there will be a list of Linked Files
    Note: Linked Files are files uploaded as part of a submission or additional files your team has assigned to a specific submission by clicking the Link Files button at the top of the screen.
  8. From there, you can click on the FAi Extract button for the related file
  9. A loading indicator will appear while FAi Extract is processing the file
  10. Once the extract is complete, the system will display the Suggested Values
  11. From there, you can Accept All, Deny All, or individually accept or deny each suggestion.
  12. An accepted value will auto-fill and mark the field with a green AI indicator

    Review each suggested value before accepting it. AI-generated suggestions may not always be accurate.

  13. Denied suggestions will revert to the previous state

    Deny All rejects all suggestions and leaves the existing field values unchanged.

  14. You can also view the extracted metadata by clicking on the Extract FAi File Metadata icon for the Linked File
  15. This will open a window displaying extracted metadata that you can use to fill in additional fields manually
  16. Once complete, click Save or Save & Close to finalize your edit.
