Discontinuation of Plain FTP Services

On December 29th, 2023, we will be discontinuing our Plain FTP (File Transfer Protocol) service.  Please note that FTPS and SFTP will still be available.

Why FTPS & SFTP?

FTPS & SFTP provide enhanced security through encryption and authentication mechanisms, making them a more secure option for transferring sensitive data. They ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your files during transmission. To access either of our FTPS or SFTP services, you can use the following:

FTPS Information

  • Host: ftps.filesanywhere.com
  • Username: (your FilesAnywhere Username)
  • Password: (your FilesAnywhere Password) *Please note that passwords are case-sensitive.*
  • Port: 21

SFTP Information

  • Host: sftp.filesanywhere.com
  • Username: (your FilesAnywhere Username)
  • Password: (your FilesAnywhere Password) *Please note that passwords are case-sensitive.*
  • Port: 22

How to Transition to FTPS or SFTP:

Transitioning to FTPS or SFTP is simple. You can use any compatible client to connect to ftps.filesanywhere.com or sftp.filesanywhere.com.
