Preventing Unauthorized Access to Your FilesAnywhere Account

In today's online environment, it's important to keep your personal information private. At FilesAnywhere, we are committed to your privacy and security. It's imperative that you take additional actions to safeguard your data. Take note of the suggestions below to help prevent unauthorized access to your account.

  • For maximum security, make sure you are logging in using SSL. This should happen automatically, but you may confirm this by looking for the https:// at the beginning of the URL.
  • Never give out your password. Allowing others to login under your profile information is violation of the Terms of Use.
  • Change your password at least every 90 days, and select at least a 7-digit password that includes both numbers and letters.
  • Take precautions with your registered email address.
  • Use the secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) for maximum security when uploading very large files (over 2GB). FTP will upload the file as well, but does not use a secure portal. For more information, check out the article FTP, SFTP, and You.
