Note: This feature needs to be enabled in the Admin Console before use.
Note: You can't pull up information on your account profile or billing, and you cannot use ChatGPT to upload, download, edit, or delete files from your account.
How to Connect to the App
- Open ChatGPT
- On the left, click on Apps
- In the Apps search, type in "FilesAnywhere" and press enter
- Click on the FilesAnywhere App
- Click Connect
- Follow the prompts and Allow ChatGPT access
- Enter your Client ID and press Proceed
Note: FilesAnywhere App in ChatGPT only connects up with Professional accounts - Enter your Username and Password and press Login
- Now you're connected
- To use the app to ask questions, click on the plus sign at the bottom of the chat window
- Mouse over More
- Click on the FilesAnywhere App

Search for files by keyword
- Prompt: “Find files related to quarterly budget.”
- Best for: simple name-based searches.

Search only files, not folders
- Prompt: “Show me only files matching invoice.”
- Best for: excluding folder hits.

- Best for: quick understanding without reading the whole file.

- Prompt: “Compare file Q1.xlsx and Q2.xlsx.”
- Best for: a quick comparison between multiple files.
